MAKE-UP REVIEW: REVLON PhotoReady Compact Makeup

I am constantly been trying out different types of foundation that would definitely meet my needs. I've tried liquid, gel foundation, and now compact makeup foundation. So far, I loved it!

REVLON PHOTOREADY COMPACT MAKE-UP says that:

* It gives a perfected, poreless airbrushed skin to any light
* Liquefying screen turns cream to liquid, then dries to a soft powder finish
* Photochromatic pigments bend and reflect light to help erase every flaw
* It has SPF 20
* It's oil free, and fragrance free
* Complete, yet virtually undetectable coverage
* Gives a soft luminous finish

It comes with 6 different shades. I'm in the shade 050 Ivory. I'm happy I got the exact shade!

It comes with a mini sponge and a liquefying screen that turns the cream to liquid, then to a powder finish. It can be a bit messy with the screen, but the good thing is you can remove it! When I first applied it on my face, I instantly loved how it covered my blemishes and some redness around my nose. It's not a full coverage foundation, but it did cover my blemishes well without having to feel heavy on the face. I love how it comes so handy! You won't be hassled of bringing bottles of foundation for touch-ups.

I super like this product! It blends easily on my face, and diminishes visible pores on my cheeks. I also love how it looks perfect in photos! I'm so sorry I don't have photos of it on myself. I was too excited taking photos of the product, that I actually forgot to take a photo of myself with it.:(

PROS:
*fragrance- free
*very handy
*covers well my blemishes
*very light on the face
*great with taking photos!
*With SPF 20
*I didn't get breakouts
*It did provide an airbrush finish!
*Available in 6 other shades

CONS:
*A bit messy with the screen
*Pricey for a 10g cream foundation, costs P995

I love this one more than the PhotoReady Powder. I can use it even without powder actually! It did lived up to its promise of achieving an airbrushed finish, giving you flawless and glowing skin.

Will I Purchase again?
YES definitely!

MAKE-UP REVIEW: REVLON PhotoReady Powder

I had this early June, so might as well do a review on this. I've been wanting to try this ever since I read it in a beauty magazine. Luckily, my Dad bought this for me since it's not available in the local stores from where I live.

Both have a sturdy black rectangular plastic casing, with a see-through lid so that the product can be seen. I don't like the fact that it's too big, that it actually covers a lot of space on my makeup kit.

REVLON PHOTOREADY POWDER

My shade is in Fair/ Light 010. It claims to give a perfected airbrushed skin in any light. It covers flaws and eliminates flaws. I actually expected too much on this one. It's too sheer, it doesn't really cover much. I don't like how it makes my skin look dry even if it gives an instant glow. It feels cakey, though it does give a shimmering effect on the face which I love when taking photos.

It comes with a handy brush that I don't like. The bristles are hard, felt like it could scrape my skin! It wastes a lot of product, giving my face an uneven, dry finish. I had to throw it away and use a regular powder brush instead.

The product isn't really horrible, but it's not the best even.
It didn't suit my needs, maybe it works for some people, but not for me.

PROS:

* Fragrance- free
* Oil- free
* gives an instant glow on the face
* it has SPF 14!
* Photographs really well

CONS:

* It's too pricey for a drugstore make-up :(
* gives a dry, chalky feeling on my skin
* when you apply too much, you'll look like a fire- fly

RATING:
3/5
Will I purchase it again?
I think not.
Although it does lives up to its claim of giving a soft glow to the skin, I wasn't really impressed with the powder.
