MY TOP 5 FAVORITE LIPSTICKS

Hi everyone! Omg, I missed blogging! Yesssss, I've been MIA for like 2 months now?? Unfortunately my laptop's dead, and I'm using my brother's notebook for this one. And apparently, my memory card won't fit on the SD card thingy.. Ugh. Why oh why?? So I can't add more photos on this entry since I only edited this one from my drafts. But anyways, here's my "welcome back again" blog entry! haha

****

I can never leave the house without lipstick on. Vain? I don't know.. I just can't stand seeing my lips bare and pale. I seriously have pale lips.I don't smoke even. I even had to do some blood tests and the like to check if I have Anemia or something. Thank GOD I have none. I guess I just naturally have pale lips.

So anyways, I'm so excited to do this post! I've always wanted to do this ever since I started blogging, but then I thought that I should at least collect variety of lippies to try out before I do my TOP 5 lipisticks.

Here it goes:

I'll be showing you 2 from Ever Bilena Matte Lipsticks, 1 from Sophie Martine, 1 from MAC, and 1 from In2It

Aren't the colors lovely? :)

I chose my favorite shades of pink, red, and orange.

from left: MAC( Pink Nouveau), EVER BILENA ( Pink Flame, Scarlet),
IN2IT ( Juice), SOPHIE ( Mango Peach)

TOP 5 fave lipstick would be from In2It. I got it on sale, I forgot how much, but as far as I remember it was around 200 to 3oo. It was named JUICE. I've been looking for that perfect bright orange lipstick..So after seeing it at the In2It counter, I immediately tried it out. And it was on sale too, so no worries on the price! I was disappointed with the color..The lady told me that it was matte. I wanted the matte bright orange color, this one's have some sort of iridescence to it. I don't know how to describe it but it sure is not matte!

TOP 4 would be the Ever Bilena's matte lipstick in Scarlet. I love that it's not that red, it's actually more of a reddish orange color. I love it because it's matte. It's not also very drying on the lips. I love wearing it when I wanted a pop of color on my lips. I got it for a P125 instead of P155, since they had this promo going on, where in you can get a discount if you can show them any variant of their Ever Bilena matte lipstick. Yong nabili mo na before. hehe

TOP 3 would be Sophie Martine's Mango Peach lipstick. The color is more of the coral tones, a very light peachy orange color. I don't know from which line, but it is very affordable! I got it for only P79, very cheap right?? And for the quality? Nope, it wasn't cheaply made! The packaging was nice, it doesn't have this funky smell that cheap lip products have. It's also very smooth on the lips. And what I like about it is that, it stays long on my lips! I love it also that it's matte.

TOP 2 would be from Mac, Pink Nouveau. This one by far, would be my most expensive lipstick. My Dad bought it for me when he was in Manila. It costs a whooping P999 for one single lipstick! I wouldn't buy one coming from my own wallet! Haha! So anyways, I love that it's matte and creamy. It's very pigmented, and it last all day long. With it's price, it sure has to be of good quality! And we all know that Mac is known for their excellent quality of products.

And the TOP 1 fave lipstick goes to............ * drumroll*

TOP 1 would be my Ever Bilena matte lipstick in Pink Flame. Obviously, it's in pink. I wear it almost everyday! The color isn't too bright, perfect for everyday! Same with the Scarlet, it's not drying on the lips. I got it for a P155. I just love love it! It's the perfect shade for my everyday. I love how I get comments from my friends that it looks natural on me. Oh diba? Hehe

MAKE-UP LOOK: Plum Smokey Eyes

Hey everyone! This will be my first make-up tutorial post, so please bear with me on this! I was so bored the whole afternoon because of the scheduled brownout from where I live. And so I asked my nephew's Yaya Charity to model for me. I wanted to practice myself more on doing make-up on different people, since it's very easy for me to do it on myself. Obviously, I would know every single detail on my face that needs covering and enhancing.

So here's the look:

Smile! :)

She was so excited to pose for the camera! ;)

Here's what I used:

FACE:

Shawill BB Cream, Maybelline Clear Smooth All-in-one

EYES:

Shawill Eyeshadow Pallete, Nichido E/S palette

Nichido Eye Liner in Medium brown, Fashion21 Liquid liner, Maybelline Volume Express Mascarra

CHEEKS:

E.L.F. Studio Line Duo Blush and Bronzer, Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Mosaic Bronzer
I used the VS Bronzer to contour her nose

LIPS:

Ever Bilena Matte L/S in Scarlette and Ever Bilena Deluxe L/S Nude
I mixed both to achieve a warm coral shade.

Yaya was so happy, she felt like a celebrity daw! I had so much fun playing as her make-up artist! Hahaha I wanted to practice more on smokey looks since I find it difficult to achieve. It's always easier with the neutral looks, anyone can pull it off !

So, how'd you like the look on her? Nay or Yay??
Please do comment or suggest make-up tutorials that you wanted me to do for you girls! :))

Have a good night and GOD BLESS! :*

REVIEW: NYX ROUND LIPSTICKS ( LIP SMACKING FUN COLORS)

I love lipsticks, most especially those affordable yet good- quality lippies! I only have two out of the array of gorgeous colors, Paris and Narcissus. I got this from THE DIGITAL TRAINCASE, check out their multiply for more.

According to their site: NYX Round Lipstick is our classic lipstick for all-year round. The mineral-based emollient formula offers a beautiful velvet texture, saturated color and it resists wear and smudging. It’s your go-to lipstick. From Pure Nude to Pink Lyric to Chic Red, Round Lipstick is available in a jaw-dropping 126 shades.

So, for my verdict!

PACKAGING: I love the packaging, it's so cute. I like how they put the shade of the lipstick at the bottom and the label of the color on top of the lid. That way, it would be easy to pick the color I want from the two.

COLOR, COVERAGE, FINISH: I love the colors beacuse it's all pink! But I love the Paris one the most. They have a lot of different colors to choose from! From pinks, reds, nudes, purples, tangerines, and even black! I wouldn't buy it for my lips I guess, I'd rather use it as a base on my lid for dark smokey eye shadows. The coverage depends on the finish of the color. I have swatches for you to see the finish of the product.

TEXTURE AND LONGEVITY: According to the website, it says that it resists smudging and it's long lasting but I experienced otherwise. It wasn't smudge proof AT ALL. Maybe it's because of it's texture which is very creamy. Although it is very pigmented, but it doesn't last long on my lips. I had to re-apply several times. So what I did was, I puff a little bit of face powder on my lips. Using a tissue, I cover it against my lip and then gently pat the powder brush on it. Can you imagine what I'm trying to explain? Hihi That way, the color sticks more and doesn't easily smudge right away.

PARIS

INGREDIENTS: Ceresin Wax, Polyethlene Wax, Microcrystalline Wax, *Beeswax, *Lanoline Oil, *Isopropyl Myristate, *Mineral Oils, *Octyl Palmitate, *BHA, Propyl Paraben, *Mica, *Titanium Dioxide, D&C Red No.A1 Lake, Pearl Powder, Iron Oxide

NARCISSUS

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY: It's very affordable, I think I got this not more than a 150 pesos . It's available online, you can even buy this at Facebook ( if you have friends who sell make-up online), as I've said I got this from DIGITAL TRAINCASE online shop.

DIY LIPPIE STORAGE

Lipstick had to be the one make- up I can't live without. I used to store them in my make- up cabinet like these photos below, but mine is in light blue with 4 compartments. I find it very time consuming when I'm trying to find the lipstick I'm after, most especially when I'm in a hurry for school.

My sister loves make- up too, she had this storage box where in she puts her lipsticks in. But she has plenty so she bought the bigger one. She then gave this to me, and I decided to customize it because it was in a very boring red color.

I cut out make- up related photos in a magazine and glued it on the surfaces of the box. After that I blow- dried it for the cut outs to stick on the box properly since I'm using only an ordinary glue.

I store these precious little things upside down so that I can pick the color I want in a glance. I arrange them according to the brand of the lipstick, I only have a few from Nyx, Wet n' Wild, Avon, Koshize, Maybelline, Mac, Ever Bilena and Victoria's Secret.

I put the glosses at the side because it only fits on the box that way, and my Elf Candy Shop lip gloss on the other side. When I've accumulated a lot in time, I'd prolly do an updated lip storage idea.

How about you? How do you store your lipsticks? :)
